The soul of our crushed tomatoes

The journey with Steriltom started in 1995, when my company decided to dedicate itself exclusively to the tomato. It is a prestigious production even nowadays, characterized by the high quality of raw material but also by the uncertainties of a constantly evolving market. That’s why it is important for us to work next to a historic and reliable company like Steriltom and the Squeri family: they know how to bring our product to the world by promoting the agricultural economy of Piacenza, and at the same time they are well rooted in the territory and attentive to the protection of farmers' work. Our company has grown day by day alongside Steriltom and the Squeri family. We found them a reliable business partner, a company made up of people who love the land and pursue the agricultural work with sacrifice. Between company and farmers there is a direct, familiar, human relationship. A farm-to-table reality even in human relationships. This is not always the case.

Piacenza is an agricultural and economic reality dedicated to the cultivation of tomatoes. The quality of this product is high and for us, as growers, it is essential that our tomatoes are always at the top, but able to improve every season: better, tastier, more fragrant. We have the best product on national territory, but none of that would be possible without the support of the companies that buy raw material for the subsequent processing and transforming. Steriltom helps us with its land development policy, which enhances our work and our tomatoes quality. The company works almost exclusively in Piacenza, selecting and collecting tomatoes from local farmers. This means a fresh tomato that does not suffer the stress of transport and comes to processing a few hours after harvesting. A quality assurance for the final consumer, but also for the farmers, because can offer a product always on top. A forward-looking policy that bears the name of Piacenza, and therefore also ours, outside Italy.

As a farmer and member of the Piacenza section of the Interprovincial Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers (Ainpo), I am happy to collaborate with Steriltom. Squeri family represents an important part of the agricultural history of Piacenza, representing an economic and cultural reference point for the Association. Ainpo has chosen Steriltom as a partner because the Squeri family has always been committed in enhancing and promoting the economic policy of the territory, by investing in technology and innovation but also protecting the environment and the work of producers. A solid company, always guided by the same family who has been working and investing in its territory for over 80 years. Steriltom took the decision to stay here and developed a virtuous supply chain based on tomato quality and farm-to-table system. Thanks to the collaboration between Ainpo and Steriltom, over the years we have been able to lay the foundation for constant growth in terms of quality and productivity that is bringing concrete results. Piacenza is the hearth of tomato production and Steriltom is a leader in tomato processing, a perfect combination.
